Showtime confirms star-studded cast for “The First Lady” series
There are more movies about the President of the United States but Showtime is telling the stories of the leading ladies behind historic presidential administrations. “The First Lady” anthology series will tell the stories of historic First Ladies including Michelle Obama, Betty Ford, and Eleanor Roosevelt.

The Showtime anthology series will feature a star-studded cast including Viola Davis (playing Michelle Obama), Michelle Pfeiffer (playing Betty Ford), and Gillian Anderson (playing Eleanor Roosevelt).

“The First Lady” production will be lead by director and executive producer Susanne Bier, known for “The Night Manager” and “The Undoing,” who will bring a singular visual style to the series and is excited to working with a cast of empowered women.

Aaron Cooley will be writing and executive producing “The First Lady” series along with Viola Davis, Julius Tennon, Andrew Wang of JuVee Productions, Cathy Schulman of Welle Entertainment with Jeff Gaspin of Gaspin Media, and Brad Kaplan of LINK Entertainment.

“The First Lady” cast will also feature a star-studded cast of actors playing former presidents including O-T Fagbenle (playing Barack Obama), Aaron Eckhart (Playing General Ford), and production has yet to confirm who will be playing Franklin D. Roosevelt.

This exciting anthology series is still in production phases and has yet to confirm a release date. Though it might be a while before the release of “The First Lady” series but fans will be excited to learn more about the influential woman who helped shape America.
