Scotland Yields Tremendous Turnout
It’s been a once in a generation opportunity to shake the future in Scotland.
The public took up their calls to vote in the yes or no election and they were more than pleased with the turnout. A record high of 84.5% voted which is the most of any UK elections since 1918.
With the chance to decide on Scotland’s future motivating voters who either never casted a ballet before or who had stayed away from the polling booths for years.
The referendum also marked the first time 16 and 17 year olds could vote in a national election and teenagers enthusiastically were taking up the right.
In the end it looks like “Better Together” was the way to go … at least for Scotland!
