Netflix Ending It’s Partnership
Well, it’s official; Netflix is ending its partnership with the cable channel Epix at the end of September. The announcement made Sunday means that US subscribers will loose access to big Hollywood blockbuster films like ‘The Hunger Games’ and even ‘Transformers.’
But get this, instead the Epix films will be shown on Hulu, which is Netflix’s biggest competitor. So why would Netflix want to loose Epix and let them go to Hulu? Well, the answer is because they want to put that money back into original programming.
With that being said, it wasn’t worth it for Netflix to keep Epix because they are trying to invest the money to create their own originals films and for them that was worth it at this point. Netflix now trying to differentiate itself still has a very long road a head of them but they are hoping it will be well worth it in the end.
