“As soon as I pop this thing out, I want to do Playboy or some nude shoot.”

This was what sexy reality star and new mom, Kim Kardashian, vowed as shown in a Keeping Up with the Kardashians upcoming episode. The said part was taped in June when she was still heavy with her and Kanye West’s baby, North West, but it is yet to be shown on air on September 29. Now that she has popped out her baby, will she still carry on her plan?

Bikini Baby

It is not really very surprising for Kim to express such a desire. After all, she did pose for some racy bikini photoshoots before getting pregnant with North. She graced Playboy’s pages way back in 2007. She admitted she was adamant about posing for the popular men’s magazine but her mother, Kris Jenner, encouraged her to push through it. She said Kris had advised her to go for it and added, “Our show isn’t on the air yet. No one knows who you are. Do it and you’ll have these beautiful pictures to look at when you’re my age.” Her Playboy pictures had her bare-breasted with a lot of skin exposed.

However, when the sultry Kardashian made it big-time in 2010, Playboy broadcasted her photos online – a move that displeased her, a feeling she later divulged in a Harper Bazaar interview that same year. “I’m sorry I did Playboy. I was uncomfortable,” she stated.

In a 2011 interview, though, Kim’s tone changed when she did an interview for another magazine, Glamour. She said that doing Playboy was like an “independence” factor for her as she was a by-the-book daughter, someone who had always looked up and obeyed her parents. The men’s magazine pictorial was a decision she, on her own, had to make. Her words suggested that shes thrilled with how her pictures came out and did not regret an ounce about everything that she did for the publication.

Aside from Playboy, she also did a daring shoot with partner Kanye West for L ’Officiel Hommes, a France-based magazine, earlier this year. Their photo which was stamped on the magazine’s front cover showed a naked Kim and Kanye locked in a sensual embrace.

Based on Insecurities?

Nevertheless, as much as the world is shocked about Kim K.’s ambitious plans of doing nude again once she gets off the added weight due to her pregnancy, some have speculated that the sexy star is dealing with insecurities to have thought about that. In fact, that angle has been explored in the KUWTK this last season.

There are speculations that Kim is afraid she is losing her sex appeal and cool factor as shown by her intense obsession of her teen sister’s (Kylie Jenner) opinion about everything and how she chased the latter around so Kylie would pose a picture of her in her Tumblr as a gesture that she was still sensational.

All the same, the biggest question still remains: will Playboy have Kim Kardashian the second time around?
