13 Years Later Kelly Clarkson Slays Her ‘Idol’ Audition Song
Can you believe America first met Kelly Clarkson all the way back in 2002? The now insanely popular franchise ‘American Idol’ was entering into its first season and a young Clarkson traveled to audition with the song ‘At Last’.
She wowed the judges and essentially all of America then, and came back to ‘American Idol’ this past week to do it all over again. Clarkson has been out promoting her new album as well as her upcoming tour but made a stop by the Idol stage to mentor this year’s batch of contestants.
Talk about a throwback – Kelly even performed her original audition song that night on Idol and absolutely killed it! Audiences were amazed by her soulful rendition of the song – but was anyone surprised, this is Kelly Clarkson we are talking about. ‘American Idol’ has gone on to introduce the world to incredible talents like Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson – but forever and always there will only be one original Idol, Kelly Clarkson!
