McKinnon Talks Clinton Role

You know election season is heating up when the impersonations begin on ‘Saturday Night Live’ – and sure enough, in the past weeks audiences have been delighted to the wonderful Kate McKinnon dawning some blue pantsuits as none other than Hillary Clinton.

McKinnon recently stopped by ‘LIVE with Kelly and Michael’ to talk about portraying the woman of the hour, saying it is such an honor and she has a true admiration for Clinton and her campaign. This is not the first time Clinton has been portrayed on the late night sketch show.

In previous years, Amy Poehler took to fame by portraying Clinton in numerous sketches including the now famous sketch with her and Tina Fey as Sarah Palin talking about gender roles on the campaign trails.McKinnon certainly has big shoes to fill following Poehler’s trademark Hillary impersonation, but so far it seems she is doing just fine.
