Janet Jackson Honored At MTV EMA’s

At the MTV European Music Awards in Bilbao, Spain on November 4th, Janet Jackson will be honored with the Global Icon Award for her long career in the music industry. At the European Music Awards, Jackson will also perform a medley of her most popular songs, including her most recent hit “Made for Now.”

With global sales of over 160 million records, Janet Jackson is one of the best-selling artists of the modern musical age, as well as in music history. She has received seven American Music Awards and six Grammys, as well as multiple nominations for Emmys, Oscars, and Golden Globes. Her most recent song “Made for Now,” produced alongside Daddy Yankee, topped the iTunes charts at its debut, with its music video on YouTube amassing over 44 million views.

On Jackson’s success, MTV’s Global Head of Music and Talent Bruce Gillmer said to Variety “Janet is without question one of the world’s biggest stars.
