FPL Prepares For Upcoming Hurricane Season
Just last September Florida suffered a catastrophic hit from hurricane Irma. It displaced hundreds of people from their homes and took an emotional toll on the entire state. Many struggled for days or even weeks without power. Because of the high demand for customer service after the hurricane, Florida Power & Light Co was not able to tend to everyone in an efficient fashion. This year, governor Rick Scott and FPL are taking early action in order to better prepare for the upcoming hurricane season by running drills with workers and media. The governor seems confident that the state of Florida is in better hands this upcoming hurricane season.
