The former child actor, Brock Pierce, who played the son of the president in the 1996 Disney movie “First Kid” announced he will be running in the 2020 presidential election. Pierce might be known for his younger roles as a child star for a variety of Disney movies including “First Kid,” “The Mighty Ducks,” and more but now is a cryptocurrency entrepreneur.

Pierce announced his candidacy on social media and is promoting his political platforms through entrepreneurship and relating to his business experience. Pierce says entrepreneurs are essential to rebuilding industries impacted by a coronavirus (COVID-19).
Pierce will be running as an independent candidate which has different requirements than Democratic and Republican candidates to get on the ballot in all 50 states. Some states require independent candidates to pay a filing fee to appear on the ballot and its unclear how Pierce’s candidacy could affect polling.
Pierce was named the Chairman of the Bitcoin foundation after being one of the early investors in the digital cryptocurrency and the founder of the Puerto-Rican based non-profit, the Integro Foundation. Pierce also is the co-founder of several companies including Mastercoin, EOS Alliance, Tether, Block.one, and Blockchain Capital.
