The Rock Is So Proud Of His Daughter

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a protective dad. But he’s also excited to see his oldest daughter, Simone, age seventeen, go off to college next year. He told “Live with Ryan & Kelly” that he and Simone “grew up together,” because she was born when he was relatively young.

“The thing with my older daughter, Simone, in a way we kind of grew up together because I had her when I was 29. At that time in my life, I was trying to figure out who I was and flying by the seat of my pants. We’ve got an awesome relationship, she’s getting ready to go to college. I feel great. I’m excited about it because she’s earned it,” Johnson said.

Johnson also said he doesn’t worry about Simone meeting the wrong guy in college, because he expects her to compare any guy she dates to her dear old dad.

“I like to think, and it’s what girls do, they measure the men they meet in their life by their father. I like to think whoever she brings home is going to be a good quality person. And if they’re not … bang!” Johnson joked to Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest.

Johnson has two other daughters, Jasmine, age three, and Tiana, 15 months, with his partner, Lauren Hashian. He describes himself as “being surrounded by female energy.”
