Greece Talks Bailout
European leaders are convening in Brussels today to discuss Greece’s debt crisis with fears of a Greek exit from the Eurozone. In the wake of Sunday’s no vote rejecting the bailout deal government officials are expected to offer counter proposals to Eurozone leaders today.
German political Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande who are leading the talks have indicated that they are open to negotiations with Greece. Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is likely to propose a new plan including 29 billion in euros from the European stability mechanisms bailout fund along with a debt swap.
Meanwhile, the United States is urging leaders to come to an agreement so that they can remain in the Eurozone and avoid any future risk.
