Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s former bodyguard Mark Billingham spoke to the UK magazine “The Sun” and made claims that he was like a father figure to the couple’s six children. Billingham worked for the couple as their head of security for 18 months. He said “the biggest concern for them was the kidnapping of the kids. It’s all about money.”

Billingham also said that the couple felt so comfortable with him that, “I could take the kids anywhere on my own. No one else was allowed to do that.” He additionally claimed he was so close to the children that he basically “fathered” them. Billingham said he decided to leave the Jolie-Pitts because he needed to get back to you a normal life. He felt like he had no privacy, had lost his family life (he has 6 children of his own) and was feeling exhausted. Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt on September 19.

They have six children together –Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10 and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. Given the couple’s A-list status, one of the things Billingham had to deal with was stalkers of the couple and their six children. He has additionally provided security for Russell Crowe, Sean Penn and Tom Cruise. Billingham feels that his extensive military experience had prepared him perfectly for these types of situations – never knowing what to expect or one who might be coming at you. One of those such circumstances was when he had to deal with one of Angelina’s stalkers, and eventually have him arrested.
