The New Song Featured In The ‘Charlie’s Angels’ Trailer
Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, and Lana Del Ray are teaming up for a new song on the “Charlie’s Angels” soundtrack. The new “Charlie’s Angels” movie is the first installment since 2000, and stars young actresses Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska.
Few details are available, but the song is reportedly a girl-power anthem called “Don’t Call me Angel.” Kristen Stewart, who plays one of the “angels,” said the film is “woke but funny.”
“At one point I think we said it was woke and grounded, and everyone was like, ‘Wait, is it still fun?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah dude, obviously, it’s ‘Charlie’s Angels,’” Stewart told “Variety” magazine while working on the movie. “We’re all in it together. There’s an entire network of women across the entire world that are supporting each other. It feels really well-intentioned. And it’s funny and weird, too, so hopefully, people have fun watching it.”
The musical collaboration by Grande, Cyrus, and Del Ray is following in some big footsteps. The last Charlie’s Angels film featured the song “Independent Women” by Destiny’s Child on its soundtrack.
The newest Charlie’s Angels movie debuts in theaters on November 15th, 2019. This film is also the directing debut for actress Elizabeth Banks.
