‘Laze’ Hits Hawaii
Hawaii’s volcano has yet to let up and has now reached the Pacific Ocean. When lava hits the ocean, it causes a serious and possibly fatal reaction. Deathly clouds of acid and shards of glass have appeared over Hawaii as the lava flowed into the ocean. The fumes that are being created are extremely toxic and can be fatal if inhaled. Even from many miles away it may irritate the eyes and skin and cause serious breathing problems. Residents are being told to stay inside and to stay away from the lava haze referred to as “laze”. The lava has been continuous for two weeks now and geologists do not see an end in sight quite yet.
