The Tale Of The ‘Donut Desperado’

Police in New Jersey is searching for a man they call “the donut desperado.” The man jumped over a Dunkin’ Donuts counter while live-streaming the heist, authorities say.

Police say it’s the second time this has happened at the Dunkin’ Donuts location on George’s Road in South Brunswick, New Jersey.

“Wanted – Donut Desperado,” the South Brunswick Police Department tweeted. “On June 1st at 8:28pm, this actor jumped the counter at @dunkindonuts on George’s Rd took a donut while live streaming. This is the 2nd incident. Any info call 732-329-4646.”

The Donut Desperado is seen laughing and dancing on surveillance video. The Dunkin’ Donuts employee at the register appears to be amused as well. Still, police say they have few clues about the man’s identity.
