Being a billionaire isn’t easy but having a solid morning routine can keep your crazy schedule balanced. We reveal how these billionaires start their day.
Elon Musk
CEO of SpaceX and co-founder of Tesla Elon Musk wakes up around 7 a.m. and goes straight to business. He starts the day reading and responding to critical e-mails for 30 minutes while he drinks his coffee, saying he is too busy for breakfast. He sends his five sons off to school and then drives to work, working upward to 120 hours every week.
Jack Dorsey
Twitter founder Jack Dorsey gets out of bed by 5 a.m. and starts the day with a 30-minute meditation. Then he completes what is known as the 7-minute workout three times. During his morning coffee, he checks in on Twitter.
Warren Buffett
CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Warren Buffett focuses on getting eight hours of rest rather than keeping to a schedule of waking up at the same time every morning. In an interview, he said, “I have no desire to get to work at 4 in the morning.” He wakes up around 6:45 a.m. and starts the day reading newspapers such as USA Today and The Wall Street Journal.
Jeff Bezos
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is much like Buffet liking to get his rest and focusing on sleeping a full eight hours. Bezos says that he wakes up naturally without using an alarm like most. In the morning he likes to hold high-IQ meetings typically before lunch, ideally at 10 a.m.
Bill Gates
Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates likes to focus on doing cardio for his morning workout and spends an hour on the treadmill while watching educational DVDs. Its also reported that he enjoys Cocoa Puffs cereal but his wife Melinda has claimed he doesn’t like to eat breakfast.
Mark Zuckerberg
Co-founder of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg revealed in an interview that the first thing he does when he wakes up checks Facebook while still in bed to see what news is being reported through Facebook.
He also checks his messages and affiliated apps Messenger and WhatsApp. Zuckerberg wears nearly the same thing every day because he doesn’t like to waste time on small decisions.
