Game 3 – Another Blowout This Time For The Cavaliers
If ridiculous blowouts are your idea of a good time, you must be enjoying the NBA Finals. You might be alone, but that’s the way this thing is going.

The Cleveland Cavaliers got a much-needed victory on Wednesday night and hammered the Warriors 120-90. That leaves the Warriors with a 2-1 edge in the best-of-seven series that resumes on Friday night. It also leaves the audience without thrilling finishes or excitement.
As each game means a little more, maybe each game will be a little better. But these have not been gems so far. Not from a competitive standpoint. The Warriors won the opener by 15 and Game 2 by 33. Now this reversal of form puts the Cavs back in the series.
The Cavs scored 89 points in the first three quarters and all came from their starters (and they were without the concussed Kevin Love). LeBron James led the way with 32 and Kyrie Irving added 30. Neither Stephen Curry nor Klay Thompson was a factor for the Warriors and neither has cracked 20 points in a game in this series. Draymond Green, who scored 28 in Game 2, managed six on Wednesday night.

This is erratic basketball. When the Warriors hit their 3-pointers, they roll. When they don’t – and give Cleveland credit for its defensive work in Game 3 – they’re ordinary.
We’re not going to stop watching. It’s the NBA Finals. But right now it will not be remembered as particularly memorable for style points.
