Psst …
The glitz, the glamour, the gowns, and screaming fans, Oscar night 2015 had it all. After a rainy start on the red carpet the action continued on in the theater for the 87th Academy Awards. Hosting for the first time Broadway musical star Neil Patrick Harris opened the night by making a reference to the lack of diversity among the acting nominees.
The best picture award went to no other than ‘Birdman’ the story of a washed up Hollywood actor trying to redeem his career on stage at a Broadway production.
‘Birdman’ also won awards for cinematography, original screenplay, and best directing. We also saw politics featured in many winners’ speeches such as in the Mexican director of ‘Birdman’s’ speech saying he hopes for better government in his country and calling for more respect for immigrants in the United States.
But the fun doesn’t end here! Check out the video for more of the Oscar Award’s greatest moments!
