The NCAA men’s basketball tournament saw its Final Four set and the faces are familiar.
Duke made the field for a 12th time, downing Gonzaga 66-52. Oddly, Duke’s bench did not produce a single point. The Spartans are in the Final Four for the ninth time.
Wisconsin and Kentucky complete the foursome. Unbeaten Kentucky got a scare from Notre Dame on Saturday, prevailing 68-66 on a pair of free throws by Andrew Harrison with six seconds left. Kentucky is 38-0. Wisconsin made the Final Four for a second straight season by topping Arizona 85-78.
Michigan State and Duke meet on Saturday at 6:09 p.m. ET on Saturday in one semifinal and Kentucky and Wisconsin play at 8:49 p.m. in the other. The championship game is Monday, April 6.
In the women’s tournament, South Carolina and Notre Dame comprise half of the Final Four field and will meet Sunday night in Tampa. Connecticut plays upstart Dayton on Monday night and Maryland meets Tennessee. Connecticut is 35-1.
