The Pacers blew away the Rockets to maintain their definitive lead in the Eastern Conference. Indiana beat the 17-10 Rockets 114-81. They were able to get such a huge lead by playing tough defense against a team usually known for its strong offense.
James Harden played decently, but was held to just 12 points. Dwight Howard was able to score 19 points and put up 12 rebounds, but it still wasn’t enough to offset the 21-5 Pacers.
Paul George ended the game with 24 points, and 9 rebounds. Lance Stephenson added 16 points, with 6 rebounds. Overall, The Pacers had a season high point total, which included a season high of 12 3pointers.
The Pacers needed this victory, to offset their last two consecutive losses, one of which was at home. Those games against the Detroit Pistons and Miami Heat were their first back to back losses all season. The Pacers clearly didn’t want to extend the losing to 3 games, and it showed in their grit on the court.
