OJ Simpson is taking to Twitter to tell his side of the story
OJ Simpson just can’t keep a low profile. In fact, the NFL legend and infamous accused murderer, who was acquitted of killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and an acquaintance, Ron Goldman, has launched a Twitter account, saying “I got a little gettin’ even to do.”
That sounds like a very, very bad idea. The last time OJ decided to “get even” by breaking into a Las Vegas hotel room to recover what he deemed stolen memorabilia from his NFL days, he ended up spending a decade behind bars. OJ was released from a stint in federal prison in October of 2017.
Still, OJ persisted, creating a Twitter account, @TheRealOJ32, with the tag line, “if you don’t see it here, I didn’t say it.” In one of his first posts, Simpson addressed rumors that he had fathered Khloe Kardashian via an illicit affair with her mother, Kris Jenner. Simpson called the rumors “bogus” and said he is definitely not Khloe’s father.
Otherwise, OJ said he is “loving” learning how to use Twitter. He has more than 300,000 followers already.
Can we expect plenty of drama as the 71-year-old learns the ropes of the Twitterverse? According to him, no. Simpson told the Associated Press that he and his children, Sydney and Justin, try to avoid negative media attention, and refuse to discuss the killings that took place 25 years ago this month.
“My family and I have moved on to what we call the ‘no negative zone.’ We focus on the positives,” Simpson told the AP.
