Britney Spears Discharged From Mental Health Facility
Britney Spears was seen leaving a mental health facility with her boyfriend, two days after she checked in with fans on Instagram, saying everything was all right.
“Britney Spears is back home after a 30-day stay in a mental health facility, but as we’ve told you … she still has a ways to go for a full recovery. Brit was spotted leaving the facility Thursday after being picked up by her boyfriend, Sam Asghari. We’re told another vehicle carrying what appeared to be Britney’s luggage and belongings followed closely behind, and they caravanned to her home in Thousand Oaks,” TMZ reported. “We broke the story … Spears checked herself out of the facility, but she’s still dealing with a big unresolved issue with her meds. Doctors are still working on the right formula for her, but call it ‘a work in progress.’ Translation … she’s still not right because the meds are off, but they’re making progress.”
Until recently, Britney’s whereabouts had been a mystery, with some fans speculating she was being held against her will in a treatment facility. Some fans even launched a “Free Britney!” campaign and held public protests.
Britney denied the rumors on Instagram, saying she was merely taking time off for family reasons. Her father suffered a life-threatening colon rupture earlier this year, which Britney said placed undue stress on the family.
“My situation is unique, but I promise I’m doing what’s best at this moment. You may not know this about me, but I am strong, and stand up for what I want!” Britney wrote to her fans.
