Job Growth

Businesses added 190,000 jobs this past August, payroll processor ADPO said on Wednesday. This is a positive sign that the labor market will continue to post gains even despite growing concerns about China’s economy.

What could also be key in helping the Labor Department’s payroll report which is due out Friday, could be key in helping the Federal Reserve decide whether to raise the interest rates later on in the month. If that happens it will be the first time in nearly a decade.

Economists surveyed by Bloomberg estimated ADP would count 200,000 private sector job gains. Also they predicted Labor’s survey of the public and private sectors will tally at 218,000 advances.
