Summer Travel
Summer is finally here…The kids are home from school and what better time to take a family vacation then now! There are so many amazing places to see and one of the best ways to keep track of all these great places is by making a list if you don’t already have one. Making a list can be easy of course, but when you’re planning with a family of four or more the price of the trip can get expensive quick, however, there are some tips you should take into consideration when traveling especially in the summer.
Believe it or not the last week in august can have the lowest prices for summer air travel! That’s right, recent studies done by CheapAir and Hopper show that the final week before labor day is the cheapest time to fly to most destinations. During this time tickets can be $40 cheaper per person then in July. For a family of 4 that’s savings of $160.
Also another great tip is to book your flights 2 months in advance if you really want to get the best summer rates. But wait there’s more…according to Orbitz hotel prices are lowest the last week of August as well. Rooms will average over $13 less per night then in July. For long-term stays these savings can really add up….for more travel talk be sure to check out the videos above.
