Another White House staff member tests positive for COVID-19

The White House confirms the 12th member of Trump’s administration to test positive for COVID-19 after his recent diagnosis is none other than the press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany. After addressing the media without wearing several times, she confirmed she tested positive on Monday.

Since the initial announcement of President Trump testing positive for COVID-19 at least a dozen other administration members have tested positive including first lady Melania Trump, three senators, and White House staffers.

Kayleigh McEnany posted on Twitter that she was being tested for COVID-19 since Trump’s diagnosis, testing positive for COVID-19 on Monday but is not experiencing any symptoms. McEnany explained that she was unaware of Hope Hicks and President Trump’s positive tests for COVID-19.

McEnany disclosed that all staff are being tested constantly for COVID-19 though some are awaiting test results and it can take up to seven days to be confirmed as positive for COVID-19. The press secretary will also be quarantined along with other infected White Staff that tested to positive for COVID-19.

President Trump is receiving medical care at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and his doctors are expected to make a brief statement about the president’s recovery. The first lady is resting at home in quarantine and reports that she is in good health.
