Time For A Weekend Of Sports

With their NHL Eastern Conference series tied at two games apiece, the Washington Capitals and Tampa Bay Lightning head back to Florida to see if either can win a game at home.

The Caps took the first two at Tampa’s Amalie Arena and the Lightning won twice in D.C. So now it’s a best-of-three battle and you can watch Game 5 on Saturday night at 7:15 p.m. ET on NBC.

The Western Conference series takes the stage on Friday night. The Vegas Golden Knights lead the Winnipeg Jets 2-1; Game 4 is at 8 p.m. on NBC Sports Network.

In the NBA playoffs, the Boston Celtics hold a 2-0 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals. This is the 38th time in team history the Celtics have held a 2-0 lead in a series – they’re 37-0. ESPN shows this one on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Game 3 of the Houston Rockets-Golden State Warriors Western Conference series – they’ve each won once – is Sunday at 8 p.m. on TNT.

That, of course, will follow the Preakness Stakes on NBC at 5 p.m. Post time is about 6:20. The eight-horse field will run 1 3/16 miles at Pimlico Race Course and Justify, the Kentucky Derby winner, is the 1-2 favorite to run it fastest.

NASCAR’s Monster Energy Cup All-Star Race will fill out your Saturday night viewing. It’s at Charlotte Motor Speedway and on FS1 at 8 p.m.

You get that heiner in the recliner now. This is what you worked all week for.
