A Sports Filled Weekend Ahead

What a great variety of viewing opportunities await us, beginning on Friday night with the NBA Finals. Hoops, pucks, ponies, we’ve got it all in the Weekend TV Six-Pack. So put fresh batteries in the remote and carefully place your heiner in the recliner…

The Cleveland Cavaliers, down 2-1 in games but resurgent after a 30-point victory on Wednesday night, are at home in Game 4 against the Golden State Warriors. Will Golden State’s Splash Brothers (Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson) finally make a splash? Or will LeBron James and Co. have their way again? ABC has the NBA Finals at 9 p.m. ET

Weekend2

The Belmont Stakes won’t decide a Triple Crown but Exaggerator, the winner of the Preakness, was tabbed as the 9-5 favorite for the 1 ½ mile race. Post time is 6:32 p.m. and it’s on NBC.

The Pittsburgh Penguins failed to close out the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night, so Game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals is Saturday night in San Jose. The Penguins lead the series 3-2. NBC will televise at 8 p.m.

The Copa America soccer tournament continues on Saturday night on Fox Sports 1 with the U.S. men’s team playing Paraguay. A win enables the U.S. to advance.

Weekend3

Sunday brings us NASCAR’s Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway. Fox will carry it at 1 p.m.
You can choose from two golf tournaments on Sunday as well. The PGA Tour’s St. Jude Classic, the final tune-up for the U.S. Open, has its final round on CBS at 3 p.m. The women’s PGA Championship is on the Golf Channel at 6 p.m.

Watch responsibly. Remember, you are a role model.
