Trump And Bremmer In Liberal Law Feud

President Donald Trump is slamming a Time Magazine editor who admitted to making up a Trump quote, saying libel laws need an update.

“@ianbremmer now admits that he MADE UP “a completely ludicrous quote,” attributing it to me. This is what’s going on in the age of Fake News. People think they can say anything and get away with it. Really, the libel laws should be changed to hold Fake News Media accountable!” Trump tweeted on the morning of Memorial Day.

The editor, Ian Bremmer, tweeted a “quote” from Donald Trump during his recent visit to Tokyo.

“Kim Jong Un is smarter and would make a better president than Sleepy Joe Biden,” Bremmer tweeted.

Bremmer maintains that the fake quote was an obvious joke, and was dismayed that many journalists and politicians thought it was real.

“Congressmen and journalists shared the quote as though it was real before Bremmer admitted hours later that it was fake,” The Epoch Times reports. “Instead of apologizing for inventing the quote, Bremmer commented that it was “objectively a completely ludicrous quote” and argued that he wrote it to make a point that people on Twitter ‘automatically support whatever political position they have.'”

Trump has filed a number of defamation suits in the past, including an infamous lawsuit he filed against a journalist who called him a “millionaire” instead of a billionaire. However, he has been unsuccessful in court.
