The Movies That Got People Off Of Netflix And To The Theater

The Labor Day sales, the fireworks, the pumpkin spice lattes, and close-toed shoes can only mean one thing: August is over, and we are heading into Fall. 2018 gave us a summer full of amazing movies. We could say the latest movies are giving us more family friendly story lines and unbelievably intense and visually stunning special effects.

Here are some of the highest grossing films of the summer.

The new Marvel movie, “Avengers: Infinity War,” earned the most money at the box office this summer. You could see it in iMax or 3D, and it grossed almost $679 million in the U.S. and Canada alone! Worldwide it grossed over $2 billion, and it is the fourth highest-grossing film of all time.

“Incredibles 2” came in next with over $597 million. Audiences were long looking forward to the squeal of the 2004 superhero family film.

Disney put out two more best-selling movies with “Solo,” grossing $213.6 million, and “Ant-man and the Wasp” at $212 million. The Walt Disney Company will be 100 years old in 2023 and is still one of the best in the biz.

In summer 2018, people also came out for “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” ranking the third highest-grossing film of the summer with $413.2 million, and “Deadpool 2” in fourth place with $318.4 million.
