Aaron Carter’s disturbing behavior pushes his brother away

Nick Carter, a member of the beloved 90’s boy band The Backstreet Boys, has filed for a restraining order against his younger brother, Aaron. Carter announced via Twitter he made the decision in light of Aaron’s “disturbing” behavior and threats against Nick and his pregnant wife.

“In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confession that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family,” Carter wrote. He said he hopes his brother gets proper treatment for his mental health issues.

But Aaron, who had a successful music career as a teenybopper singer, said Nick is retaliating because Aaron sided with women who accused his brother of sexual assault.

“How come my brother didn’t file a restraining orders against a girl who filed a police report against him for rape? ” Aaron Carter tweeted.

Melissa Schuman, a member of the early-2000s pop group Dream, recently came forward to accuse Nick Carter of raping her when she was a minor. Nick denied the allegations, saying the relationship was “consensual.”

“[She] never expressed to me while we were together or at any time since that anything we did was not consensual,” Carter said in a statement to the Huffington Post about the allegations.
