This Is A Night They’ll Never Forget

Only in Florida! A pair of newlyweds and four wedding guests were arrested over the weekend for breaking into a former elementary school on the wedding night.

The newly married couple told authorities they thought the school was abandoned when they decided to visit after-hours. However, a caretaker saw the pair and their wedding guests enter the school and wrote down their license plate numbers.

The groom, Zachary Fuit, is a U.S. Marine. So are the four wedding guests who were arrested in the incident. All have been charged with theft, burglary, and criminal mischief.

This is just the latest in a series of bizarre wedding stories out of Florida. In May, an Ohio man was arrested after crashing a wedding in St. Petersburg. Mark Saunderson allegedly attended the reception uninvited and even interrupted the bride and groom’s first dance.

Instead of pressing charges, the couple now wants to meet him, according to CBS Miami.

“The couple, in town from Gainesville, say they are not mad at Saunderson. In fact, they told a reporter by phone that they find it funny,” CBS Miami reports. “Sadie Dajka and her new husband Adam, said they were just confused, ‘I was like, ‘Is that your friend?’ and he said, ‘I thought it was your friend.'”

“If we could give him a high five for giving us an unforgettable wedding, we would,” said Sadie Dajka, the bride.
