What To Look Forward To

Nintendo Direct unraveled a lot of info about their upcoming projects, from Animal Crossing to Luigi’s Mansion. But their online service was the main intel that most wanted for gamers. In the presentation, Nintendo stated that users will have to pay for the online services now.

Titles such as Splatoon 2 and the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, will require an online subscription to play online. I addition to online play, Nintendo will be launching smartphone apps.

For example, Splaptoon 2 is releasing an app called Splatnet, which is an app that specializes in viewing stats, the stage rotation schedule, and ordering gear to pick up in the game. Nintendo Online Subscription will also grant players access a library of classic NES games.

So far, they will be releasing 20 games and the service is set to launch on September 18 (September 19 in Europe and Japan).
