Another Scandal In The Books
Have you heard the news? Japan’s Mitsubishi Motors is in a bit of hot water. Why? Because They used fuel testing methods that did not comply with Japanese regulations for over 25 years which is major! Obviously, this caused shares to tank…yikes.
Fuel economy tests on 625,000 cars in Japan were rigged and there are fears that further irregularities will be found. Mitsubishi has lost $3.9 billion, or half its’ market value since the scandal emerged, which does not include potential future compensation and fines. Japan’s transport ministry has set up a task force and US auto safety regulators are demanding more information.
