Welcome Back, Missy Elliott!

We all know that Katy Perry rocked the Super Bowl with an incredible halftime show, but it was Missy Elliott who really got everybody talking.

If you are anything like me you had a moment of pure joy when those first few notes of ‘Get Ur Freak On’ started playing during Katy’s set.

Missy Elliott emerged and surprised everyone by singing a quick medley of her greatest hits, eventually accompanied by Katy Perry too. While some of the younger generation went to Twitter and began asking who Missy Elliott was – her true fans went to iTunes and began downloading some of her old music in hopes of starting a comeback.

Missy hasn’t had an album out in ten years! How crazy is that? Missy Elliott also went to Twitter and humbly thanked her fans for staying true to her throughout the years.

Maybe if we are lucky, all this publicity from the Super Bowl will bring out a new album from the Queen of Rap.
