John Stamos Discusses Passing of Bob Saget

The mourning process has been difficult for Stamos.

On Sunday, beloved television personality Bob Saget was found dead in his hotel room at the age of 65. The precise cause of Saget’s death has still not been determined, though preliminary investigations ruled out causes like drugs or foul play. In the meantime, Saget’s family and close friends have been mourning his passing, and one person it’s been especially hard for is his former co-star John Stamos.

“The mornings are hard. Middle of day comes in waves. Mostly bad. Nighttime is hard,” Stamos tweeted yesterday. “I miss getting a text from him right now. Me answering. Him saying he’s too tired to respond. Me saying, ‘Then why’d you text me so early?'”

“I’m not ready to accept that he’s gone – I’m not going to say goodbye yet,” Stamos said in a captioned photo of himself and Saget posted on his Instagram. “I’m going to imagine him out there, still on the road, doing what he loves with all his heart and humor. He’s standing on stage, killing! Another two-hour set in front of a couple hundred of the luckiest people on the planet. They’re laughing so hard, they weep.”

“I’m just not ready to say goodbye yet. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe.”
