And We’re All For It

Attention, lovers of Häagen-Dazs ice cream: you all will be excited to know that there’s a delivery test run going on in London. What that means is that the famous ice cream store has created a new service called Häagen-Dazs Now, which allows customers to order ice cream through Facebook Messenger.

The service uses geo-locating technology to pinpoint the person’s location, even if they are moving. The person ordering ice cream is also able to keep track of where their order is as it gets delivered to them. Their ice cream will be brought to them from a “temperature-controlled delivery van.”

While this trial is going on in London at this moment, keep your fingers crossed that it’ll eventually make its way into the U.S. Samuel Horner from Häagen-Dazs U.K. says that “Depending on how this goes, we will evaluate how it could fit into our future consumer engagement plans in the U.K. and beyond.” Let’s all hope that things go well so that we can order ice cream while on the go! How amazing would that be?
