Have you heard the big news? Comcast Corporation, the world’s largest broadcasting and cable company is purchasing DreamWorks Animation – the studio responsible for the Shrek, Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda franchises – at a cost of approximately $3.55 billion. Yes, all of our favorites!

This deal will make DreamWorks part of the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, which includes Universal Pictures and NBCUniversal. The move will strengthen parent company Comcast’s presence in the ever-important children’s entertainment sector.
