Colorado citizens protest state lockdown

Colorado citizens are protesting to end the mandatory coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown on Sunday and health care workers are standing against protesters. The protesters demanded that the state ends the mandatory stay-at-home order that’s in effect until April 30 but health care workers were counter-protesting.

Footage from the protest of a nurse dressed in full scrubs standing in-front of a car of a protester to block them from driving further. Other health care workers and concerned citizens attempted to counter-protest and block the hundreds of protesters in attendance.

As of Sunday, there are a total of 1,813 people hospitalized for COVID-19 over the last month with 422 confirmed deaths. The protest at the state capitol lasted four hours, demanding an end to the stay at home order while calling Colorado Governor Jared Polis a tyrant.

The state lockdown is slated to end April 30 but government officials are looking to possibly extend the lockdown in accordance with health developments for COVID-19.
