The second Trump stunt of the week in California

On the California 405 Freeway, a mock Hollywood sign reading ‘TRUMP’ appeared on the side of the highway and was ordered to be removed immediately by California road authorities. The sign resembled the same style of the iconic Hollywood sign above Tinsel Town and was located along the 405 Freeway close to the Sepulveda Pass.

Though this stunt has attracted a lot of media attention, it has yet to be confirmed who is behind the stunt. Reports poured in since sighting started yesterday and the California Department of Transportation cites that this sign is a driving distraction on one of the biggest freeways in California.

Authorities also confirmed that they have yet to identify who erected the sign and other parties involved in this stunt. Fox News reported that local citizens filed complaints due to the sign location as it is over a dry bush and can be considered a wildfire risk.

Trump took to Twitter that he was elated over the sign and declared that he will be winning California in the upcoming election. Trump went onto promise “no more blackouts, shutdowns, ridiculous forest fires, or water ‘rationing’ (coming soon).’

Ironically, the city in which the sign was located had over 71 percent vote for Trump’s 2016 election opponent. Another Trump stunt occurred at the Long Beach Police Department in which a Trump supporter hoisted a Trump flag but officials were unaware of the flag until noticing it.

The sign was taken down by Caltrans workers by 9 a.m. today and the chief officer, Lauren Wonder, disclosed that the sign was located on private property. The team took down the signs to be less of a distraction and is working on completely removing the sign.
