Baltimore Ravens Suffer Multiple Injuries

The Ravens are down multiple running backs, plus a cornerback.

The last few weeks have been brutal for the Baltimore Ravens, as one after the other the linchpins of their defensive line have been taken down with nasty injuries. Both starting running back J.K. Dobbins and reserve running back Justice Hill were taken down with injuries during regular practice. After that, their replacement running back, Gus Edwards, suffered a knee injury during his practice, one that was bad enough that his availability for the remainder of the season is now in question.

The good news is that those three are the only running backs who have been injured. The bad news is that another injury has taken place, and this time, it’s cornerback Marcus Peters, who tore his ACL during practice badly enough that he’ll more than likely be out for the rest of the 2021 season.

These injuries won’t do the Ravens any favors in their pursuit for a division title, and especially in their ongoing rivalry with the Cleveland Browns. It’s anyone’s guess what the Ravens will be able to cobble together when the season begins in earnest next week, but they’ll have to figure something out in time for their game against the Raiders in Las Vegas on Monday.
