What Is A Music Bae?

A Miguel song is released one a Friday…then appears on a new episode of the hit TV show, Insecure, on Sunday. How in the world does that happen?

Well, according to Creator and Executive Producer of Insecure, Issa Rae, it takes team work and planning. And it helps that Miguel is one of her, as she puts it, “music baes.” Her list of music baes also includes Donald Glover and Childish Gambino.

Before they shot the pilot for the show, Rae says she was able to go to one of his concerts and it really sealed the deal for her, as it may for all of us Miguel fans.

But perhaps Miguel is everyone’s music bae, since the show is well into season two, and has a whopping 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. They don’t just give out 100’s at Rotten Tomatoes.
