Bryar joined the band in 2004, stepping in as drummer after the release of their breakthrough album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. During his tenure, he played on the iconic 2006 rock opera The Black Parade, an album that propelled My Chemical Romance to international fame. Tracks like “Welcome to the Black Parade” and “Teenagers” became anthems of the emo and pop-punk era, even landing spots on the Billboard Hot 100.
