Texas boasts 4 of the top 10 cities on the list, including Midland, Huston, Fort Worth, and South by Southwest – all having a below average cost of living.

Texas boasts well-paying jobs in tech, energy, and even space exploration industries. Another city on the list is Columbus, Ohio, which is home to the Victoria’s Secret brand.

Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Lincoln, Nebraska, and Wausau, Wisconsin are also on the list for their low cost of living and good median household income. University towns Durham, North Carolina and Tucson, Arizona are also good places to live economically.
