Getting Ready For A Weekend Of Action-Packed Sports

The NBA’s All-Star weekend provides a festive atmosphere for numerous events that show off not only the players but the many celebrities who love basketball (and attention). So we’re hoop-heavy going into a fun time in Charlotte, N.C.

The All-Star Celebrity Game is Friday night at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. Among the well-known taking part: Rapper Bad Bunny (I just like typing that name), Dr. Oz (he’s a real doctor!), actor Hasan Minaj, entertainer Amanda Seales.

This will be followed by the Rising Stars Game on TNT at 9 p.m., with Team USA taking on Team World. Team USA is strong at guard, with De’Aaron Fox, Donovan Mitchell and Trae Young. Team World has Ben Simmons and DeAndre Ayton.

The exhibition of athletic talent known as the All-Star Skills Challenge is Saturday at 8 p.m. on TNT. And Sunday, at 8 p.m., also on TNT, is the All-Star Game.

If this is not enough to keep your heiner glued to the recliner, well, we can rustle up a few other items. Such as college basketball. As in No. 23 Iowa State at No. 18 Kansas State at 4 p.m. Saturday on ESPN2. And No. 1 Tennessee vs. No. 5 Kentucky at 8 p.m. on ESPN, also on Saturday.

The PGA Tour is at Riviera for the Genesis Open and the final round Sunday will be shown at 3 p.m. on CBS.

Enjoy your viewing. You’ve earned it.
