A Sports Filled Weekend Ahead

Euro 2016 comes to its conclusion on Sunday when Portugal and France meet at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN. Will Portugal’s Christiano Ronaldo get the major title he has been seeking? You’ll know soon enough.

That’s one of the marquee attractions in our Weekend TV Six-Pack. Futbol at its finest.

Heiner? Check. Recliner? Check. Place the former in the latter and enjoy….

If you prefer football, the Canadian Football League offering on Friday night matches the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Edmonton Eskimos. ESPN has this at 10 p.m. Both teams are 0-1; the Eskimos are defending CFL champions.

Wimbledon also draws to a close this weekend. The women’s final is Saturday at 9 a.m. on ESPN; the men battle it out on Sunday, same time and same channel. Serena Williams, seeking a record-tying 22nd major title in the Open era, plays Angelique Kerber.

U.S. Women’s Open golf occupies Fox on Sunday, beginning at 3 p.m. Mirim Lee was the first-round leader with a record-tying round of 8-under 64 round that included 10 birdies.

Need a faster pace? The Quaker State 400 NASCAR race from Kentucky Speedway is Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. on NBC Sports Network. Kyle Busch has won this race twice and is the defending champion.

The best of baseball might be Saturday night’s meeting of the Washington Nationals and New York Mets at 7 p.m. on Fox. The Nats lead the Mets by three games in the National League East.

Relax and enjoy this visual buffet. Please, watch responsibly.
