What To Watch This Weekend
We were really hoping to have an eighth and ninth game of the World Series for you this weekend, but we ran out of baseball. Seven’s the limit. We’ll need to find other diversions.

Friday night is up to you. Viewer’s choice. We’re going to skip right ahead to Saturday’s visual experiences, starting with college football.
We can only hope that running back Bryce Love is healthy and able to play for No. 21 Stanford (6-2) as it takes on No. 25 Washington State (7-2). He’s fun to watch. If the Cardinal win (and doesn’t that sound dumb?), they/it can clinch the Pac-12 North next Friday by beating Washington. Fox has this one at 3:30 p.m. ET. Note – we’re using the College Football Playoff rankings now and not the Associated Press’.
If Love doesn’t play and boredom creeps in, you might need a little Bedlam in your life. No. 5 Oklahoma (7-1) and No. 11 Oklahoma State (7-1) usually meet to close the season, but here we at the beginning of the stretch run with a visit to Stillwater. 4 p.m., FS1. The loser is effectively out of the CFP chase. How do you like your stakes?
The Atlantic Coast Conference’s Coastal Division could hinge on the outcome of No. 13 Virginia Tech (7-1) at No. 10 Miami (7-0). UM is the least impressive 7-0 team imaginable but 7-0 is 7-0. 8 p.m., ABC, from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.
The undercard starts at 9 p.m. on Saturday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Showtime but will eventually yield to Deontay Wilder (38-0, 37 knockouts) defending the WBC title he won two years ago against the man he relieved of it – Bermane Stiverne (25-2-1, 21 KOs). Wilder has only fought once this year but he’s heavily favored to keep his belt.
The guys who go round and round in fast cars take to Fort Worth’s Texas Motor Speedway for a round-of-eight competition in the Monster Energy Cup Series. NBC Sports Network has this on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Only two races remain after this one.
And the NFL (check local listings) is worth a peek on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. when the Kansas City Chiefs (6-2) visit the Dallas Cowboys (4-3). The courts have again stayed Ezekiel Elliott’s suspension and he will play for the Cowboys.
