Get Ready For The Weekend With A Sports Review

College basketball’s major conferences are completing their tournaments this weekend and, at this writing, matchups for the finales are hard to predict.

If we may project ahead, however, we will assume that Tennessee and Kentucky will meet Saturday in an SEC semifinal at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN. They split the season series and will put on another good show. The ACC Tournament final, which almost surely will feature North Carolina, is Saturday night at 8:30 p.m.

Make sure your heiner is in the recliner on Sunday at 6 p.m. for the NCAA Tournament selection show on CBS. After that, good luck with your brackets.

In the NBA, you can opt for the Golden State Warriors-Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. on ABC. Or hold off a day for the Milwaukee Bucks, who have the NBA’s best record, hosting the Philadelphia 76ers at 3:30 p.m. on ABC.

If your idea of a good time is spending $74.95 to stay home, we’ll advise that you pony up for the Errol Spence Jr-Mikey Garcia fight for Spence’s IBF welterweight title. Garcia is moving up two weight classes to challenge Spence. Fox pay-per-view will take your money or allow you to stream the fight at the same price at FoxSports.com.

The PGA Tour is in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, for The Players Championship, which concludes on Sunday at 1 p.m. on NBC. Your paint-swapping friends on the NASCAR circuit run the Auto Club 400 at Fontana, California, at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday with Fox covering it.

Happy hoops … and everything else.
