The Chicago Cubs forced a Game 6 in the World Series, defeating the Cleveland Indians 3-2 on Sunday night at Wrigley Field. It was the Cubs’ first World Series win at Wrigley since Oct. 8, 1945.

The Cubs got all their runs in the fourth inning and Aroldis Chapman came on to preserve the victory with an eight-out save. Game 6 is Tuesday night in Cleveland at 8 p.m., to be televised by Fox. The Indians lead the best-of-seven series 3-2.

It seemed as if everyone worked overtime, from morning to night. Sunday started with the Washington Redskins and Cincinnati Bengals, beamed live from London. It ended in a weird 27-27 tie. Bengals kicker Mike Nugent missed an extra point in the third quarter and Redskins kicker Dustin Hopkins pulled a 34-yard field goal try wide to the left late in overtime. … In Tampa, the Oakland Raiders ran their road record to 5-0 (6-2 overall) with a 30-24 OT win over the Buccaneers. Records fell in this one. Derek Carr passed for a Raiders record 513 yards and four touchdowns while the Raiders sent NFL records with 23 penalties for 200 yards. … In the NFL nightcap, Dak Prescott hit Jason Witten for a touchdown and a 29-23 OT victory for the Dallas Cowboys over the Philadelphia Eagles.
