Trump Maintains That There Is No Collusion With Russia

Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who led the investigation into whether Donald Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia to sway the 2016 election, reportedly isn’t happy with the way Attorney General William Barr summarized his findings. The Washington Post reported Tuesday that “Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III wrote a letter in late March complaining to Attorney General William P. Barr that a four-page memo to Congress describing the principal conclusions of the investigation into President Trump ‘did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance’ of Mueller’s work, according to a copy of the letter reviewed Tuesday by The Washington Post.”

Democrats are going to take Mueller’s complaints into account as they debate whether to impeach Trump, the Washington Post reported.

However, Trump is reiterating his slogan “No Collusion!” and doesn’t seem rattled by Mueller’s complaints.

“NO COLLUSION, NO OBSTRUCTION,” Trump tweeted early Wednesday morning. “Besides, how can you have Obstruction when not only was there No Collusion (by Trump), but the bad actions were done by the “other” side? The greatest con-job in the history of American Politics!”

Barr is set to appear this morning before the Senate Judiciary Committee, where he is expected to answer questions about Mueller’s letter. The Washington Post calls it “a much-anticipated public confrontation between the nation’s top law enforcement official and Democratic lawmakers, where he is likely to be questioned at length about his interactions with Mueller.”
