This Suit Could Save Lives On The Road

Just as it sounds, this suit simulates the feeling of having a bad hangover. But why would anyone willingly subject themselves to a hangover? It’s all for a good cause. Ford Motor Company Europe designed this suit to remind people that though you may not be “drunk” the day after drinking, the symptoms of a hangover still impair you on the road. Ford is hoping that this suit can help save lives on the road.

From a throbbing headache, to dizziness and feelings of sleepiness and weakness, this suit will bring back your worst hangover memories. The whole production includes goggles, headphones, weights and more. The goggles are used to block all warm light while a lamp projects cool light into the eyes, simulating the hypersensitive to light and dizziness that comes with a hangover. The headphones are used to pump higher volume of surrounding sounds, to give you a the feeling of a migraine headache. The sound of pulsing blood is also added. There are also weights that are added to the head, wrists, ankles and chest vest to simulate the feeling of fatigue. The weight suit, in total, adds an extra 37 pounds!

Though it may seem silly walking around in this simulated contraption, the reasoning behind it is a much more serious one. Ford hopes to remind people that hangovers can also cause fatalities and dangers on the road.
